“God makes me laugh” is not your most common expression.

A sense of humour doesn’t seem often associated with God. Is it? 

Perhaps God doesn’t make You laugh. Does He?

 

But if I think about the idea of a Divine Game,

Of a Divine Naughty Toddler pulling tricks and pranks

On unwitting playmates…God makes me laugh.

 

When you think of your life’s unfolding

With all its bizarre twists and turns

Does it all make you smile, or make you cry?

 

When the shit hits the fan, is it better to laugh or cry?

It's so tragic nothing could have been worse.

Yet so funny that tears are strolling down your face

 

When you’re upset for missing the flight you’d booked for love

And later find the plane had crashed without you in it,

You’ll grasp for sure the meaning of “God makes me laugh”.
