Worship is when we give our deepest affection and highest praise to something. Spiritual worship is when we love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. It can take place in a temple, church, mosque or synagogue; in a home, a hermitage, or simply outdoors. It can be a collective ceremony or a private ritual, structured or informal. In its various forms music and chants can accompany worship.

Religious people reserve worship and adoration exclusively to the Supreme. Pantheists and Animists, however, see that Supreme in Nature irself as a single, all-encompassing Deity. They don't worship a stone or any form as God, but rather the Divine Spirit within the stone ot anything else.

Worship can be expressed in a short, simple practice. For some it is spending a very special moment in the presence of their chosen Deity, on an altar or some arty pedestal. For others it is making an offering of fruits carefully cut in small pieces inside a special plate. Selected flowers can be added, with sweet incence and a fragrant oil lamp burning. The offering can symbolize one's thanks-giving and reverence for all the gifts of life you're aware to be receiving each day.
